Our multi-week ceramic courses offer a structured path to develop technical skills while nurturing creative expression. Introductory courses guide students through the full ceramic process, from wedging and wheel throwing to handbuilding, trimming, and glazing, helping to establish strong foundational skills.

Intermediate and advanced courses build on these foundations, introducing more complex techniques, exploring new forms, and providing opportunities to refine style and expand creative practice. Students of all levels gain hands-on experience and individualized guidance to grow both their skills and artistic confidence.

Our one-off and multi-week curated workshops are led by talented artists, creatives, and ceramists, and are designed to bring people together across diverse disciplines and backgrounds. Grounded in place, these programs provide accessible, engaging experiences that connect with and reflect the local community.

Beginners Wheel Throwing

Build a strong foundation in wheel throwing in this multi-week pottery course. Students will learn essential techniques such as wedging, centering, and pulling clay to create forms like cylinders, cups, and bowls, while also exploring trimming and glazing.

Classes will include instructor demonstrations, guided practice, and individualized feedback to support each student’s progress. Emphasis is placed on developing both technical skills and a deeper understanding of the material, allowing students to build confidence on the wheel over time.

Designed for beginners, this class also welcomes more experienced students looking to refine their skills and strengthen their fundamentals.

6 Weeks: $480

All Levels Wheel Throwing

Build and refine your skills on the pottery wheel in this multi-week course designed for all experience levels. Students will learn and practice essential techniques such as wedging, centering, and pulling clay to create forms like cylinders, cups, and bowls, while also exploring trimming and glazing.

Build a foundation in handbuilding in this multi-week pottery course designed for beginners. Students will learn essential techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building to create functional forms like cups, bowls, and small vessels, while also exploring surface decoration and glazing.

Classes will include instructor demonstrations, guided practice, and individualized feedback to support each student’s progress. Emphasis is placed on developing a strong understanding of form, structure, and clay behavior, allowing students to build confidence working with handbuilding techniques over time.

Designed for beginners, this class also welcomes those with some experience who are looking to strengthen their foundational skills and explore new approaches to handbuilt ceramics.

Try Night & Day

Explore wheel throwing in this one-off session designed as a hands-on introduction to working with clay. Participants will learn foundational techniques such as centering and shaping through a demonstration followed by guided practice, with time to experiment on the wheel.

Try Nights and Try Days are focused on experimentation and exploration, offering a relaxed environment to get comfortable on the wheel. Our Try Nights are BYOB, creating a casual and social atmosphere while you learn.

This experience is designed for beginners or anyone curious about the pottery wheel. One finished piece will be trimmed, glazed, and fired by the studio.

Tea and Cup Handbuilding workshop featuring handmade ceramic teapot and cups with tea tasting included

Handbuilding Workshop

Create your own handmade tea cups in this one-off handbuilding workshop. Participants will learn essential techniques such as pinch pot and slab-building, with a brief demonstration followed by guided hands-on practice, while enjoying a tea tasting from local Chinatown shops.

Open to all skill levels, the class includes up to two finished piece that will be glazed and fired by the studio, with additional pieces available for an extra fee.

Textiles Workshop

Learn the fundamentals of natural indigo dyeing, basic sewing, and visible mending in this three-part textile workshop series. Participants will explore the cultural and historical significance of indigo while gaining hands-on experience with dyeing fabric, sewing a cropped top, and practicing visible mending techniques.

Designed for beginners and creatives of all levels, each workshop can be taken individually or as part of the full series for a deeper introduction to sustainable textile practices.

Bento Box Handbuilding workshop featuring handmade ceramic bento boxes with personalized blue drawings

Handbuilding Workshop

Create your own handmade bento box in this one-off handbuilding workshop. Participants will learn essential techniques such as slab-building and basic handbuilding through a brief demonstration, followed by guided time to build and personalize their piece, including the option for a custom hand-drawn design or phrase, while enjoying a selection of small bites inspired by traditional bento.

Open to all skill levels, the class includes one finished piece that will be glazed and fired by the studio.
