Intro to Wheel Throwing

Try the pottery wheel in this beginner-friendly workshop designed for anyone curious about wheel throwing. Participants will learn the basics of centering and shaping clay to create simple, functional forms.

This one-off session offers a casual, hands-on experience perfect for exploring something new. Our Friday Try Nights are BYOB, creating a social and creative atmosphere where you can unwind, get a little messy, and enjoy the process of working with clay.

The class will begin with a 20-minute instructor demonstration covering foundational wheel techniques. From there, participants will spend the remainder of the session practicing on the wheel with guidance throughout.

This workshop is ideal for beginners and those new to the pottery wheel. One finished piece will be glazed and fired by the studio; additional pieces may be kept for an extra fee. Finished work will be ready for pickup in 3–4 weeks.
